Eau du Soir, the second perfume by the house of Sisley, is a feminine, elegant, and eternal fragrance. Its complex and rich composition is based on a perfect harmony of contrasted lines: fresh citrus, sensual flowers, warm amber, and musk. The bottle, designed by Polish sculptor Branislaw Kryzstof, features a golden stopper made of 18-karat gold.

The top notes of Eau du Soir consist of mandarin orange, grapefruit, spruce, and carnation. The heart notes include seringo, jasmine, rose, and lily-of-the-valley. The base notes are musk, amber, and patchouli.

In 1990, Countess Isabelle d'Ornano was gifted Eau de Soir by her husband, Count Hubert d'Ornano. The count created a unique floral composition, with the Spanish flower seringa at its centre. The fragrance of this white flower, like many others, radiates an intense scent through the night air and attracts night butterflies for pollination. Eau de Soir was created to remind the countess of her childhood in Spain, and the name was chosen because of the night-blooming seringe (in French, "soir" means "evening").

For several years, Eau de Soir remained the countess' personal perfume. It was not until 1999, after her friend persuaded her, that the perfume was released for public sale.
